About Sort the Court!

Sort the Court! puts you on the throne. Every day a new subject steps up with a request — a farmer needs seed money, a wizard offers a suspicious trade, a dragon wants tribute — and your only job is to say yes or no. There's no combat and no map to manage, just one decision after another, and each one nudges your kingdom's gold and population up or down.

The trick is that nothing is clearly right or wrong. A generous answer today might bankrupt you next week; a stingy one might drive your subjects away. Choices also unlock new characters and storylines, so two playthroughs rarely look the same — you might end up ruling a thriving trade hub, a kingdom overrun by cats, or a smoking crater, depending on what you agreed to.

Controls

Click Yes or No to answer each subject. On a keyboard you can also press Y or N instead of clicking.

Tips

  • Watch both meters, not just gold — running out of population ends the game just as fast as running out of money.
  • Recurring characters remember your past answers, so a choice now can pay off (or backfire) many turns later.
  • If a run ends badly, start again — new dialogue and paths only show up once earlier choices open the door to them.

It suits short sessions: each decision takes seconds, but the branching outcomes make it easy to want "just one more day" on the throne.

Sort the Court! FAQ

How do I play Sort the Court?
Read each subject's request and click Yes or No. You can also press the Y or N key instead of clicking.

There's no single ending — your kingdom's gold and population change with every answer, and the game ends if either one runs out. Different choices lead to different storylines and outcomes.
Can I play Sort the Court! on mobile?
Yes, it works on both desktop and mobile browsers, though tapping choices is easiest with a larger screen.
Do my past choices matter later in a playthrough?
Yes, several characters return and react to what you decided earlier, so choices can have delayed consequences.
