Pencil Rush is an obstacle-course runner starring a line of colored pencils instead of a person. You steer the whole group at once, threading them between edges and barriers while they roll forward on their own. Drift too close to the sides and a few pencils tumble off; clip a barrier and you lose more.
The hook is the coloring payoff at the end: every pencil you keep alive and every extra one you pick up along the track adds to your set, and reaching the finish line lets you use that set to fill in a picture. A run only takes a minute or two, so the loop is mostly "try to keep the group whole this time."
Controls
- Hold the left mouse button and drag to steer the pencils left and right
- A and D also move the pencils left and right
Tips
- Steer in small movements — the whole line shifts together, so a sharp turn can clip an edge you weren't aiming for
- Grabbing extra pencils is optional; if a pickup sits right next to a barrier, skipping it is often safer than losing several pencils
- Losing a few pencils isn't a run-ender, but losing most of them limits how much of the final picture you can color in
It suits quick, low-stakes sessions — a track only takes a minute, and there's no penalty for stopping after one run.
