About Apple Shooter

Apple Shooter is one of the oldest tricks in the browser-game book: you play an archer taking aim at an apple balanced on a friend's head, William Tell style, and the only thing standing between a clean hit and a bad day is your aim. There's no scoring system to chase and no story to follow — just a bow, a target, and a friend standing very still and trusting you completely.

Each round moves your assistant a little further away, so the shot that was easy at close range starts curving noticeably by the time you're a dozen rounds in. The game runs here through a Flash emulator, so it plays and looks exactly like the original browser game did, apple and all.

Controls

  • Move the mouse to aim
  • Left mouse button to shoot

Tips

  • As the distance grows, arrows start to drop noticeably on the way there — aim a little higher than the apple itself to compensate.
  • If a menu button doesn't respond right away after a round ends, that's the old Flash content being emulated, not a bug on your end — give it another click.
  • There's no time limit, so a slow, steady aim beats a rushed one.

It's a five-minute distraction more than a deep game, and that's exactly the appeal — good for a quick break between games rather than a long session.

Apple Shooter FAQ

What are the controls for Apple Shooter?
Move your mouse to aim the bow and click the left mouse button to fire. There's no power-charging mechanic — one click, one shot.
How do I hit the apple from far away?
Arrows drop as they travel, so at longer distances aim a bit above the apple itself to let gravity bring the arrow down onto it.
Why does the menu button sometimes not respond?
The game runs through a Flash emulator to keep the original version playable in modern browsers, and some of its buttons occasionally need a second click to register.
