Word Boss hands you six letter tiles and two minutes to prove you can spell. Every round is the same simple race: build as many real words as you can from the letters in front of you before the clock runs out, with longer words and rarer letters worth more toward your score.
The tiles don't lock you into one order. If a word isn't coming together, drag the letters around or hit shuffle to see them from a new angle — the game rewards rearranging over staring. A progress board tracks how many valid words are still hiding in that letter set, so you always know whether you're close to clearing the round or still have work to do.
Controls
- Click or tap a letter tile to add it to your word
- Type on your keyboard to select tiles matching those letters
- Drag tiles to reorder them
- Press Backspace, or double-tap a tile, to remove a letter
- Use the shuffle button to rearrange the tile layout when you're stuck
Tips
- Short words add up fast early on — clear the easy three- and four-letter finds before hunting for the long ones
- Shuffling doesn't cost you anything, so use it the moment a set of letters stops giving you ideas
- Keep an eye on the progress board rather than the timer alone — it tells you how much of the round is actually left to solve
Word Boss plays in short two-minute bursts, which makes it an easy pick for a quick vocabulary workout between things — no save file to manage, just letters, a clock, and however many words you can find.
