Misland is a slow-paced island-building sim: you start with a bare patch of blocky land and a handful of apple trees, and spend your time chopping wood, mining stone, and putting up your first houses and workshops. There's no combat to manage moment-to-moment and no players to compete with — it's closer to an idle management game than a survival game, with progress measured in resources stockpiled and buildings placed rather than kills or loot.
As your settlement grows you unlock better tools, hire helpers who gather and craft on their own so you're not doing every task by hand, and start trading surplus resources with a boat that visits your island. Occasional monsters show up and need to be dealt with, but the core loop stays about expanding the island and automating its upkeep rather than fighting.
Controls
- Arrow keys or WASD: move around the island
- Mouse click and drag: move and interact (also works as the touch control on phone and tablet)
Tips
- Get your first tool upgrade as early as you can — early apple-picking and wood-chopping are slow, and better tools pay for themselves quickly.
- Hire helpers as soon as you can afford them so resource gathering keeps running while you focus on building and trading.
- Keep an eye on the trading boat — selling off resources you've got a surplus of is an easy way to fund the next round of upgrades.
It suits players who like idle-management games they can check in on and nudge forward a little at a time, rather than a game that demands constant attention.
