MicroWars is a territory-capture strategy game played at the scale of a petri dish: you control a colony of cells and grow it by taking over neighboring bases. Every base you hold produces troops on its own, so the game is really about deciding where to point that production at any given moment.
A match plays out as a chain of quick calls — send a strong base against a weak, undefended one first, then use it as a new staging point for the next attack, while watching for the enemy doing the same thing to you. Losing a base you've stopped defending can undo several turns of progress in seconds, so the tension is less about reflexes and more about not overextending.
Controls
Click or tap one of your cells, then drag to another cell and release — troops flow along that line and either reinforce a base you already own or attack one you don't.
Tips
- If a level is too tough at its default setting, drop the difficulty from Normal down to Easy before retrying, or push it up to Hard or Impossible once a level stops being a challenge.
- Use Random Level when you want a quick match instead of working through the numbered levels in order.
- Skins are bought with in-game coins rather than real money — you can boost your payout after a match by watching the optional reward video if you're saving up for one.
It suits short, replayable sessions rather than one long sitting — a level or two at a time, with over a hundred to work through.
