Jump and Hover is a puzzle-platformer where you guide a small cube through obstacle courses lined with spikes and gaps. Landing wrong ends the run instantly, so every level is really a string of small decisions: how far to jump, when to hover, and when to just let gravity do the work.
The twist is the hover meter. Holding the jump button keeps you drifting through the air, but that meter burns down fast and won't refill itself mid-flight — only batteries scattered through the level, or touching solid ground, top it back up. That turns each stretch of spikes into a small budgeting puzzle: hover too long and you'll drop out of the air right over a pit, hover too little and you'll misjudge a gap you could have cleared.
Controls
- Move: A/D or the left and right arrow keys
- Jump: W, Space or the up arrow key
- Hover: hold W, Space or the up arrow key
- Reset level: R
- Back: Esc or B
Tips
- Tap the hover key in short bursts instead of holding it the whole way across a gap — it stretches the meter much further than one long hover.
- Route your jump toward a battery before a hard section rather than after, so you cross it with a full meter instead of fumes.
- If you're not sure a jump is safe, reset early with R — restarting the level costs less time than falling from the top of a hover.
It suits short, focused sessions: no story or upgrades, just tighter and tighter platforming where your hover timing is the whole skill.
