About Hop Warp

Hop Warp is a single-screen puzzle platformer built around one trick: you can swap places with the orb you throw. Toss it across a gap, through a gate, or past a hazard, then teleport into its spot to reach ground you couldn't otherwise touch. Every room is small enough to see the whole solution at a glance, but working out the order of throws and swaps is the actual puzzle.

Each level hides a handful of stars along the route, so the fast way through and the complete way through aren't always the same path. Some rooms add red zones where teleporting is switched off entirely, forcing you to route around them on foot instead of orb-hopping past. A hint system is there if a room stumps you for too long.

Controls

  • A/D or Left/Right arrow keys — move
  • Spacebar — throw the orb and teleport to it
  • R — reset the room
  • Esc — back out to the menu

Tips

  • Throw the orb before you commit to a jump — you can often set up the landing spot ahead of time rather than reacting mid-air.
  • In red zones, treat the orb as a normal thrown object only; plan the route as if teleporting isn't an option there.
  • Grabbing every star isn't required to clear a level, so if one is out of reach, move on and come back to it once you understand the room's layout.

It suits short, puzzle-focused sessions — a few rooms at a time rather than one long sitting, since each one is a small, self-contained problem to work out.

Hop Warp FAQ

How does teleporting work in Hop Warp?
Throw the orb in a direction, then press the teleport button again to swap places with it, instantly moving you to wherever it landed.
What are the red zones?
They're areas where teleportation is disabled, so you have to reach or cross them by moving and jumping normally instead of orb-hopping.
Do I need to collect every star to finish a level?
No, stars are optional collectibles on each route. You can reach the exit and clear a room without grabbing all of them.
What are the controls?
A/D or the arrow keys to move, Spacebar to throw the orb and teleport to it, R to reset the room, and Esc to go back to the menu.
