Gladihoppers drops you into a gladiator arena as a squishy, ragdoll-physics fighter who has to stay standing while everyone else tries to knock you down. The floppy, unpredictable movement is the whole joke and the whole challenge: a clean hit sends your opponent's limbs flying in every direction, and the same thing can happen to you if you get sloppy.
Career mode is where most runs start — fight your way up, complete missions for rewards, and spend the gold and fame you earn on gear and upgrades. There's also arcade mode and quick fight for shorter sessions, a practice mode to learn the controls without pressure, and a multiplayer mode if you want to test your gladiator against another player instead of the AI. Before a fight you pick from four classes — Trainer, Surgeon, Priest and Spy — each with its own special ability, and you can put earned gold toward armor, weapons, and stat upgrades like strength, health, charisma, willpower and looting.
Controls
Move - W / A / S / D
Attack - Arrow keys
Throw javelin - E
Switch stances - Spacebar
Tips
- Switching stances with Spacebar changes your attack angle — mix it up instead of swinging from the same side every time.
- The javelin throw has range the melee attacks don't; use it to soften an opponent before they close in.
- Ragdoll momentum works both ways — overcommitting to an attack can leave your own character off balance and open.
It's a good pick for short, chaotic bursts rather than one long sitting — a few career-mode fights or a quick multiplayer match scratch the itch without demanding a huge time investment.
