EvoWorld.io (formerly FlyOrDie.io) drops you into a free-for-all evolution arena as a tiny fly, made by Pixel Voices. Eat enough of the right food and you evolve into your next form — bigger, faster, and with a new special ability, but also facing new predators that didn't threaten you before. The whole game is really one long climb: survive long enough as one animal to become the next.
Every creature has predators, so most of a run is spent reading the arena at a glance — green-outlined food and animals are safe to eat, red-outlined ones will kill you if they catch you first. You're not just up against the environment either: hundreds of players share the same biomes, and a bigger player can eat a smaller one just as easily as you can eat what's below you. Keep your water level up along the way, or you'll die from thirst before anything else gets the chance.
Controls
- WASD / Arrow keys or mouse – move
- Left click – fly
- Space or S – special ability
Tips
- Check the outline color before you commit to a target — green is food, red is a predator that can kill you, and mixing them up at speed is how most early deaths happen.
- Don't ignore your water level while you're chasing food; running dry is an easy way to die with a full XP bar.
- Each new form's special ability changes what you're capable of — test it as soon as you evolve, since it's often your best way to escape a predator that's already caught up to you.
There are 45 animals to reach across eight evolutionary stages, from an ordinary fly up to a mythical, cosmic final form — there's always a next step to aim for.
