World of Yarn takes a simple idea — tangled thread — and turns it into a satisfying tap-to-clear puzzle. Every level is a small object built entirely out of coiled yarn, and your job is to peel it apart: tap a strand that matches the color of its container to dissolve it, working inward layer by layer until nothing is left.
The challenge comes from limited space. Containers only hold so much of each color before they're full, so clearing efficiently means planning a few moves ahead rather than tapping the first match you see. Objects can be rotated to reveal strands hidden behind the visible layer, which is often where a stuck puzzle actually opens back up.
Controls
- Tap or click: Dissolve a matching yarn strand
- Drag / rotate: Turn the object to see hidden strands
Tips
- Rotate the object before committing to a move — a color that looks stuck from one side is often clear from the back.
- Watch container capacity, not just color match. Filling a container one strand too early can lock you out of clearing a section entirely.
- Clear visible, easy strands first to open up rotation room before tackling buried layers.
It's a low-pressure, no-timer puzzle game — good for winding down rather than racing a clock.
