Unicycle Hero is an Olympic-themed skill game from Unept where the athletics are normal — javelin, hammer throw, archery and more — but the athlete is balanced on a unicycle instead of standing on solid ground.

Each of the nine events borrows its scoring from real track-and-field, so the goal is still distance or accuracy. The twist is that you have to keep the unicycle upright while you line up and release the throw, and events get harder to balance through as you go. Coins earned from clearing events buy upgrades and cosmetic looks for your rider.

• Arrow keys: move and balance the unicycle.

Tips

• Get the unicycle stable before you commit to a throw — a wobbly stance is usually why a throw goes wide, more than bad aim.
• Save coins between events instead of spending on the first upgrade offered, so you can afford the improvements that matter once the later events get harder.

It's a good fit for short play sessions — each event is quick, so it's easy to jump in for a couple of throws and stop.
