Super Falling Fred drops a ragdoll character down a long vertical shaft and leaves you to steer him past the walls, spikes and hazards on the way. It's the latest entry in developer Dedalord's Fred series, alongside Running Fred and Skiing Fred, and it keeps the same idea: there's no ground to reach, just a fall that keeps going, faster and narrower, until a bad hit or a stray wall ends the run.
The appeal is in the physics: Fred flops and twists like dead weight, so a "safe" gap this second can close before you react. Coins scattered along the shaft add a second thing to chase besides survival — grab enough and you can unlock a new character to fall as next time, from zombies to a wrecking-ball crash-test dummy.
Controls
- Arrow keys – steer Fred left, right, up or down within the shaft
Super Falling Fred is a desktop game built around keyboard input; there's no touch control scheme for phone or tablet.
Tips
- Watch a couple of hazards ahead, not the one right under Fred — the ragdoll drifts on its own momentum, so you need lead time to react.
- Skulls and spikes end the run instantly; walls just cost you speed, so when in doubt, aim to clip a wall rather than a hazard.
- Coins are worth detours early on, when the shaft is slow enough to grab them safely — new characters don't change the physics, but they're worth unlocking for variety.
It's a short-session game by design: runs end fast, restarts are instant, and the challenge is entirely about how long you can keep reacting before gravity wins.
