Stick Fighter is a scrappy little brawler built around six stick-figure characters, each with a genuinely different moveset rather than the same three attacks in a different skin. Pick one and work through the others one at a time, learning what makes each opponent dangerous before you have to fight them yourself.
The fights are fast — matches are short, hits stagger you out of your combo, and reading your opponent's approach matters more than mashing buttons. It rewards a few minutes of practice against the AI far more than most browser fighters, since every character actually plays differently.
Controls
- A/D or Left/Right arrow keys — move and jump
- A, A or Left, Left — attack 1
- D, D or Right, Right — attack 2
- A, D or Left, Right — double jump variant 1
- D, A or Right, Left — double jump variant 2
- A or D while double-jumping — attack 3
Tips
- Play through single-player first — it runs you against every character in turn, which doubles as a scouting report for local multiplayer.
- The double-jump attacks are the easiest way to punish an opponent who's stuck watching your feet.
- If you're playing two-player, agree on who takes which side of the keyboard before the match starts — it's shared-keyboard controls, not separate control schemes.
Best played in short bursts, solo against the AI gauntlet or head-to-head with a friend on the same keyboard.
