Little Alchemy 2 starts you with four elements — air, earth, fire and water — and nothing else. You drag pairs together to see what they make: air and fire become energy, earth and water become mud, and from there the combinations branch out into hundreds of results, from simple materials to animals, tools, mythical creatures and abstract ideas.
There's no timer and no wrong move. You're free to experiment, and a hint system points you toward one undiscovered combination if you get stuck, so progress never fully stalls even without a guide. The game keeps track of everything you've found, which turns it into a slow, satisfying checklist rather than a race.
Controls
Click and drag one element onto another to combine them. On touchscreens, tap one element and then tap the second to merge them.
Tips
- Revisit early elements like life, human and time often — many later discoveries branch off combinations with these rather than with newer, more exotic items.
- If a combination doesn't produce anything new, it's not wasted effort — the game just tells you there's no result, so there's no penalty for guessing.
- Use the search bar in your element list to find something quickly instead of scrolling once your collection gets large.
It suits players who like open-ended puzzles they can dip into for a few minutes or lose an hour to, with no pressure to finish in one sitting since your discoveries are saved as you go.
