About Light The Lamp

Light the Lamp is a small physics puzzle by solo developer Eray Zesen — it's their first game published on Poki. Each level hands you a power plug tethered to a socket by a length of cord, and the entire objective is getting that plug home before you run out of slack.

You don't steer the plug in a straight line so much as rotate the whole level around it, paying cord out and reeling it back in as you route it around platforms and away from spinning razor blades that will sever it on contact. A few levels also want you holding buttons down while you maneuver, so the puzzle is as much about timing as it is about the path you pick.

Controls

  • WASD or the arrow keys move the power plug

Tips

  • Watch a razor blade's spin for a moment before committing to a route past it — the cord dies the instant it touches one.
  • If you've fed out too much cord to recover, restart the level rather than fight a route that's already lost.
  • Use the hint button if a layout stumps you; it's built into the level rather than something to avoid.

It's a short-session brain teaser — the kind of game suited to solving one lamp at a time rather than a long sitting.

Restart if you've run out of usable cord, or use the built-in hint button rather than fighting a layout you've already misjudged.
