About Immaculate Grid Football

Immaculate Grid Football is a daily trivia challenge that tests the depth of your NFL knowledge. Each day presents a fresh 3x3 board where the rows and columns represent different teams, awards, or career milestones. Your objective is to fill all nine squares by naming a player whose career matches the intersecting criteria of that specific cell.

The game is as much about obscurity as it is about accuracy. While naming a famous Hall of Famer will correctly solve a square, selecting a forgotten journeyman who barely saw the field earns you a much better rarity score. You only have nine guesses to complete the entire board, meaning a single mistake ruins your chance at a perfect grid.

How To Answer

Click on any open square to bring up the search bar. Begin typing a player's name, and a dropdown menu will appear with matching options. Select the correct player from the list to lock in your guess. Keep in mind that active and retired players are both valid, provided they meet the row and column requirements.

Tips

  • Start with the hardest squares: If there is a difficult intersection involving specific stat milestones, tackle it first before using up your guesses on easier team matchups.
  • Think of division rivals: Players who jump around a lot within a division are often excellent, low-rarity answers for team-to-team intersections.
  • Use backup quarterbacks: A backup who spent years bouncing around the league is usually a much rarer pick than a franchise starter.

Immaculate Grid Football FAQ

How many guesses do you get in Immaculate Grid?
You receive exactly nine guesses to fill the nine squares. Since there are no extra attempts, any incorrect guess means you cannot achieve a perfect board for that day.
What makes a good rarity score?
A good rarity score comes from picking obscure players. The percentage represents how many other people chose the exact same player for that square, so lower scores are better.
Do practice squad players count?
Generally, a player must have appeared in at least one regular season game for a team to qualify for that franchise's square.
