Hover Racer Game

Hover Racer is a compact 3D anti-gravity racer: pick a hovercraft, drop onto one of three tracks, and fight to the front of the pack over a handful of laps. It plays fast and short, closer to a quick arcade dash than a career-mode racing sim.

You are not racing alone against the clock. Rivals bump and ram, and you carry a weapon of your own, so a race is as much about landing hits and staying ahead of return fire as it is about clean cornering.

Controls

• WASD or Arrow Keys: Steer and control your hovercraft
• Shift: Fire your weapon
• Esc: Pause

Tips

• Blue arrows painted on the track give a speed boost — line up for them instead of taking the shortest line through a turn.
• Pink arrows refill your ammo, so swing through one before you plan on shooting.
• Hitting an opponent slows them down, but they can do the same to you — don't get boxed in on the inside of a turn.
• Win by crossing the line first on the final lap, so save a burst of speed rather than spending every boost early.

Each of the three hovercraft has its own handling, and races earn gems you can spend on upgrades between runs. It's a good pick for a five-minute session rather than a long sit-down race weekend.
