About Hide and Smash

Hide and Smash, made by Madbox, drops you into one of two teams at random. Hiders spend the round disguised as ordinary objects scattered around the map, staying still and blending in while they try to grab every key before anyone finds them. Smashers do the opposite: they roam the same space looking for anything that looks slightly out of place, then swing a hammer at it before the hiders can finish collecting.

Because your team is assigned each round, a normal session gives you both sides of the loop — the quiet, patient game of picking a good hiding spot and not flinching when a smasher walks past, and the faster, more aggressive game of scanning a cluttered room for the one prop that doesn't belong. Rounds are short, so a session is really a string of these role swaps back to back.

Controls

  • WASD or Arrow Keys — move
  • Left Click — aim and smash (as a Smasher) or interact (as a Hider)

Tips

  • As a Hider, pick a spot that fits the scene — a prop tucked in with a dozen identical props is safer than one sitting alone in the open.
  • Staying frozen is your best defense; darting between hiding spots is what actually gets hiders caught.
  • As a Smasher, look for objects that are slightly misplaced or duplicated rather than checking every prop one by one.

It's a quick pick-up-and-play match, good for a few rounds at a time rather than one long session.
