Free The Key is a sliding-block puzzle set in an ancient temple. Every level fills a small grid with wooden blocks of different shapes, and the only way to the exit is to nudge them out of each 's way until a clear path opens up to the key.

There's no timer pushing you and no combat to worry about — just one tightly packed grid per level and a little room to slide pieces around. Early levels teach the basic trick of clearing a lane; later ones stack multiple blocks in each 's way, so freeing the key means working out the right order to move things rather than just shoving the nearest block aside.

Controls

Click and drag a block to slide it along its row or column. On phone and tablet, touch and drag the same way.

Tips

• Look for the block directly blocking the key first, then work backwards to see what's blocking that block.
• Not every block needs to move — moving a piece that's already out of the way just wastes a turn.
• If a level looks jammed, check the edges of the grid; there's often a lane along the border that opens things up.

It's a good pick for a short mental break — a few quiet puzzle levels rather than anything twitchy or timed.
