Eagle Ride is a fast, low-poly flying game from solo developer Aron Sommer, the same designer behind Supergun and Angry Zombie on Poki. You're on the back of an eagle tearing through a forest, and the whole game comes down to one thing: don't hit a tree.
There's no altitude control and no stopping to admire the view. The eagle flies forward on its own at a steady clip, weaving between trunks and pillars that only give you a split second to react. Gems scattered along the route unlock a special ability for your eagle, and three separate modes -- classic, crazy and hardcore -- crank up the obstacle density and speed for players chasing a better high score.
Controls
Left arrow steers left, right arrow steers right. That's the entire control scheme -- no up, no down, no mouse.
Tips
- Commit to small, early corrections rather than sharp last-second turns -- the eagle doesn't stop banking the instant you release a key.
- Grab gems only when they're directly on your line; chasing one into a tree costs more than skipping it.
- If classic mode feels too easy, hardcore mode is the same forest with far less room to breathe -- a better test of reaction time than raw memorization.
It's a short, replayable arcade run rather than a long session -- good for players who want a quick high-score chase between games.
