Dunkers is a two-dimensional physics basketball game from Colin Lane Games, the one-person Stockholm studio also behind Wrassling and the game's own sequel, Dunkers 2. You control a floppy-limbed character — starting with Pinko, and later Froggo, Timmy, and Nerdo — bouncing off the ball to launch yourself toward the hoop.
Play solo through Career mode against the computer, or share a keyboard for head-to-head local multiplayer. Every match is short and a little chaotic: the ragdoll physics mean a clean-looking jump can just as easily send you tumbling past the rim instead of through it.
Controls
Player 1 uses A and D, Player 2 uses the Left and Right arrow keys. Each key sends your character jumping in that direction — line yourself up under the ball to bounce off it and gain height toward the basket.
Tips
- Time your jump so you bounce off the ball right as you reach the rim, not before.
- You can steal the ball by running into your opponent at the right moment.
- Chaining jumps builds momentum fast, and it's easy to fling yourself off course — tap rather than mash.
It's a pick-up-and-play game built for short couch matches, best with a second player on the same keyboard, though the AI in Career mode holds up fine solo.
