Cat Bird is a physics-based platformer about a cat with a pair of bird wings, gliding through obstacle courses instead of just running and jumping through them. Every leap becomes a short flight: hold the jump button and the cat flutters forward, stretching a jump into a glide that carries it over gaps a normal platformer character couldn't clear.
That gliding mechanic is the whole puzzle. Levels are built around rotating blades, narrow ledges, and drops that punish a jump timed too early or held too long, so getting through a stage is less about reflexes alone and more about reading the layout and judging exactly how far a glide will carry you before gravity wins.
Controls
- A/D or Left/Right arrow — move
- Z or Spacebar — jump
- Hold Z or Spacebar — flutter wings and glide
Tips
- Let go of the flutter a beat before you actually need to land — gliding too long carries you straight into the next hazard instead of stopping on the platform.
- Treat blade obstacles as timing gates, not walls: watch one full rotation before committing to a jump through the gap.
- Short hops conserve height for a longer glide later — don't flutter through every jump if the next gap is the one that actually needs it.
Good fit for a few quiet minutes at a time — short levels, an easy restart, and just enough precision needed to keep you trying "one more."
