Refuge Solitaire is a two-deck solitaire variant: instead of the usual four foundations, you're clearing 104 cards into eight. Four foundation piles build downward from King to 2, and four build upward from Ace to King, so you're juggling two directions of the same suits at once.

The tableau plays like classic solitaire underneath — drag cards between columns to arrange them by matching suit and consecutive value, freeing up the cards you actually need for a foundation. When a deal gets tight, hints are available to surface a legal move, and you can reshuffle the remaining cards rather than grind out a deal that's gone dead.

Controls

Drag a card with the left mouse button, or your finger on a touch screen, and drop it onto its pile. Works on desktop, phone, and tablet.

Tips

• Work both directions of a suit at once — a card blocking a King-down pile often frees up the matching Ace-up pile once it moves.
• Save hints for genuine dead ends. Leaning on them early just means you never learn where the useful cards are hiding.
• If a deal only leaves you two or three playable columns, reshuffle rather than force it — a fresh layout is faster than fighting a bad one.
