Penalty Challenge puts you on both sides of the spot kick: you step up to shoot, then swap in as the goalkeeper to defend the same situation from the end. Each shootout is a short back-and-forth of nerve and timing rather than a long match, so a round is over in a minute or two and the next one starts right away.
As the striker, you're picking a corner and committing to it before the keeper can read you; as the keeper, you're doing the opposite — reading the kicker and diving before the ball is already past you. Getting good at it means learning to disguise your own shots while getting better at spotting the tells in your opponent's.
Controls
Aim and commit to a direction with your mouse when it's your turn to kick or dive. On phones and tablets, swipe instead.
Tips
- Don't shoot to the same corner twice in a row — predictable placement is the easiest thing for a keeper to punish.
- When you're in goal, hold off on your dive as long as you can before committing; diving too early gives the kicker an easy read on where the net is open.
It's a quick, low-commitment game to load up for a few rounds between things — no long matches, just shootout after shootout.
