House of Hazards is a local two-player game about racing through a list of everyday chores in a house while your opponent tries to slow you down with booby traps. Each player works through tasks like flipping a light switch or grabbing something from the fridge, and every trap you trigger — a swinging pan, a falling lamp, a flying slice of toast — costs the player time instead of hurting them outright.
The tension comes from timing rather than reflexes alone: rushing your own list leaves you open to a trap set just ahead of your next step, so most rounds turn into a mix of chore-racing and sabotage. Between rounds a wheel of fortune spins to add a new rule or hazard, so the round that follows rarely plays like the one before it.

Tips
- Finishing your own tasks quickly matters more than landing every trap — falling behind on the checklist is harder to recover from than one trap hit.
- Trigger a trap while your opponent is mid-task, not mid-run — they can't dodge as easily while an action animation is playing.
- Check what the wheel of fortune lands on before the next round starts; it changes the rules, so whatever worked last round might not work again.
It's built for two people sharing one keyboard, so it works best as a quick head-to-head with a friend sitting next to you rather than a solo session.
