About Fireboy and Watergirl 2: Light Temple

Fireboy and Watergirl 2: Light Temple is a two-player co-op puzzle platformer, playable solo by switching between characters or with a friend on the same keyboard. Fireboy can't touch water, Watergirl can't touch fire, and both die instantly in the green ooze — so every room is a puzzle in keeping the right character away from the wrong hazard while the clears the path.

This entry adds light beams and mirrors to the usual lever-and-platform mix: redirecting a beam onto a sensor opens doors that neither character can reach alone. Each level ends with Fireboy and Watergirl reaching their own color-coded door at the same time, so timing and cooperation matter as much as reflexes.

Controls

Fireboy moves with the arrow keys. Watergirl moves with W, A and D. Playing solo, you switch control between the two with the keys the game assigns on load.

Tips

  • Collect the matching gems — red diamonds for Fireboy, blue for Watergirl — they're optional, but skipping them means replaying the level for 100% completion.
  • Line up mirrors before you move a character into danger; light puzzles are cheaper to solve standing still than mid-jump.
  • If one character reaches their door early, don't step through — both doors have to be entered in the same moment to clear the level.
