circloO XL is the latest entry in Florian van Strien's circloO series, a physics puzzle-platformer where you roll a ball around the inside of a circular level instead of across flat ground. Momentum is the whole game: build up speed rolling around the curve to reach ledges you couldn't touch standing still, and time your launches carefully, because a circular track punishes sloppy movement more than a straight one ever does.
The twist that gives the game its name is that a level's circle isn't fixed — collecting the small circles scattered around a stage expands it, opening up more of the level and reshaping the paths available to you. Expand the circle fully and you clear the level, so working out which circles to grab first matters as much as your reflexes.
Controls
A or the left arrow key rolls the ball left, D or the right arrow key rolls it right. That's the entire scheme — everything else comes down to momentum and timing.
It's a direct sequel to circloO and circloO 2 from the same developer, worth a look if you enjoyed either of those or like physics platformers that reward patience over pure reflexes.
