Ball vs Block takes the old paddle-and-brick idea and swaps the paddle for a cannon. Instead of bouncing one ball off a bar at the bottom of the screen, you aim and fire balls straight into a packed wall of blocks, and every ball that connects ricochets on to chip away at more of them before it runs out of bounces.
The chaos builds fast: destroy the pink blocks and they drop power-up capsules that double however many balls are already in play, so a level that starts as a careful single shot can turn into a screen full of balls tearing through the stage in seconds. Most levels clear in under half a minute, which keeps runs short and makes losing sting less — you're back in the next one immediately.
Controls
Click or tap to aim and fire a ball. Several ball types are available, each with its own special ability, and you switch between them by clicking (or tapping) and dragging.
Tips
- Prioritize pink blocks early — the ball-doubling capsules they drop are what turn a slow level into a fast one.
- Switch ball types to match the situation rather than sticking with whichever one you started a level with; each has a different special ability for a reason.
- Boss stages work differently from normal levels — look for the boss's pink weak points and keep hitting them to multiply your balls and bring its health down faster.
A good fit for short breaks: quick individual levels, an escalating sense of chaos as more balls join the screen, and periodic zodiac-themed boss fights to break up the regular block-clearing.
