About World Conquest

World Conquest is a dice-driven strategy game built on the classic risk-your-armies formula: you pick a starting territory, mass your troops, and roll against your neighbors until the whole map is one color. There's no hidden complexity to learn — just a map, an army count, and dice deciding who holds each border.

A turn comes down to placing new troops, then attacking any territory next to one you already hold. Win the roll and you take it; lose and you thin out your own force, so every attack is a small gamble against how many armies you can afford to risk. Collect matching cards from conquered territories and cash them in for a lump of bonus troops to swing a stalling game back in your favor.

Controls

  • Mouse only — click to select a territory, click again to place troops or launch an attack

Tips

  • Attack from a territory with a big troop stack, not a thin one — losing rolls costs you units either way, so start from strength.
  • Hold whole continents when you can; the per-turn troop bonus for a controlled continent snowballs faster than picking off single territories.
  • Don't hoard cards too long — cashing in a matching set for reinforcements is usually worth more than the territories you'd take one attack at a time.

There are three maps and three difficulty levels to work through, plus a tougher Risiko variant once the standard mode feels easy. It plays well as a slower, one-map-at-a-time session or a longer campaign, and it runs straight in the browser with nothing to install.

World Conquest FAQ

What are the controls in World Conquest?
Everything is mouse-driven: click a territory to select it, then click to place troops or attack a neighboring territory.
How does combat work?
Attacks are resolved with dice rolls between the attacking and defending territories, so a bigger troop count improves your odds but never guarantees a win.
What do the cards do?
Conquering a territory earns you a card. Collecting a matching set and cashing it in grants a batch of bonus troops.
How many maps and difficulty levels are there?
There are three maps and three difficulty levels, plus a harder Risiko mode for once the regular game feels easy.
